Format & Launch Conditions v1.1
Monthly and annual paper-portfolio formats. Official entry remains gated.
1. Current release
This is the October 2, 2026 project format and launch-condition record. It supersedes the earlier ten-asset, no-rebalancing, November 16 design. It is not a notice that paid official entry has opened.
Pre-registration requests a launch notice only. It does not reserve an entry, create an account or take payment.
2. Planned competition format
Starting paper bankroll: $1,000,000. Asset universe: 50 cryptos, with an official fixed list required before entry. Annual allowance: four trades over the year. Monthly rounds last 30 calendar days; both monthly and annual formats start on the first of a month. First target start: November 1, 2026, Pacific time.
The local preview's resettable portfolio is for practice. The server must enforce official trades, valuations and audit records; browser storage is not an official ledger.
3. Entry and current registration eligibility
Planned entry price: $19.99. Total accepted-entry cap: 1,000. Maximum five accepted entries per email across all entry methods. Paid entries are not enabled. The intended equal no-purchase route remains a required launch item.
The present registration policy permits Canadian residents outside Québec, age 19 or older. Official eligibility and contest terms require final review before accepted entries begin.
4. Planned prizes
Top-five ladder: $5,000 / $3,000 / $2,000 / $1,000 / $1,000. Planned pool: $12,000. Funding and the applicable prize-bearing rounds must be verified and published before entry. No further monthly awards are promised here.
Winner verification, ranking/tie procedures and award conditions must be finalized in the official Launch Notice.
5. Reference prices and scoring
Reference prices display their observation time. Unavailable, unverified, stale or implausibly future-dated prices pause trades. Unpriced holdings make a practice valuation incomplete. The official price source, fallback policy and final valuations must be frozen and independently tested before launch.
6. Community purpose
Intended beneficiaries: Norwood Ravenswood and the BC Lions Society for Children with Disabilities / Easter Seals BC/Yukon, subject to coordination. Net proceeds are after disclosed prizes and expenses, not a guaranteed donation amount. The optional $5 community contribution is separate and cannot improve chances. A post-contest reconciliation must be published.
7. Launch gates
- Legal and eligibility review; permitted payment provider.
- Funded prizes, fixed 50-asset list and final calendar.
- Server-enforced accepted-entry caps and trade ledger.
- Independent account, scoring, payment, refund and duplicate-submission tests.
- Verified winner/contact, support and charitable reconciliation procedures.
These gates remain open. Paid entry remains disabled.
8. Privacy and consent
Public practice uses a local display name. Registration contact details are private; marketing consent is optional and separate from requested launch notices. Do not put email addresses or phone numbers on a public leaderboard.
