PANEL 1An old ferry warehouse holds keys, toys, umbrellas, and rainbow socks. DR. BELL: “Curators needed. Our star sock pair vanished.” JAY: “My feet are qualified.” TRAY: “Your feet are also late.”
PANEL 2Rae checks the earlier wrench, remotes, meters, clips, and safety tools, then adds a Scan-Safe Soft Brush. BIG GAG: Jay raises his striped foot for scanning; Bolt tugs the polka-dot sock, and Jay hops in a polite one-sock circle.RAE: “Artefacts first, feet second.”
PANEL 3Dr. Bell rolls out a turntable scanner. RAE: “Kid version: a 3D scanner takes views around an object and builds its digital shape. AI groups and labels, but humans check facts.” TRAY: “A digital twin that cannot steal snacks.” JAY: “A twin who shares snacks is a flex.”

PANEL 4A lost compass turns under blue light; a spinny 3D compass appears, labelled “travel items.” DR. BELL: “Visitors can study delicate objects without touching.” RAE: “Tech working as advertised.”
PANEL 5Jay’s polka-dot sock slips onto the turntable. A huge sparkling sock hologram rises. The AI labels it TEAPOT COSY / SNACK HOLDER / FOOT CLOUD. BIG GAG: Paper maps flutter into the hologram and become tiny bracelets.JAY: “Foot cloud is accurate.”
PANEL 6The AI groups socks, a toy whale, a scarf, and a teapot cosy because all are blue. DR. BELL: “It used colour too much.” TRAY: “Matching vibes is not matching history.” RAE: “Curators read labels.”

PANEL 7Soft-gloved Tray reads cards; Rae brushes patterns; Jay spots the astronaut’s moon stitch. BIG GAG: Bolt follows sock scent through drawers and pops out wearing a fluffy sock ring like a royal collar.JAY: “Sir Bolt of Laundry Basket!”
PANEL 8They scan weave and stitches, then give the AI those clues plus the donation date. A drawer marked “Ferry Picnic, Tuesday” glows. Inside: the true pair. DR. BELL: “You fixed the instructions instead of blaming the machine. Big-brain curation!”

PANEL 9Families cheer as digital socks rotate while the real pair rests safely behind glass. Dr. Bell pays twenty-eight Crew Coins. RAE: “Pay us properly, and we will not scan gift-shop snacks.” TRAY writes: “Missing Socks Museum: +$28. Crew Bank total: $243.”
PANEL 10A water-speckled postcard slides from a diving helmet: “ASSISTANT NEEDED—CORAL MAP.” Bolt barks at its submarine. JAY: “Snack break, then world domination under water.” TRAY: “I put it in the app.”
Tech Talk with Rae
RAE’S TOOLBOX BOX
A 3D scanner takes views from many angles.
Software joins them into a digital model people can turn on screen.
Curation AI suggests groups and labels by comparing clues.
Curators check records, dates, patterns, and stories before trusting it.
Funny caveat: a sock may become a foot cloud with incredible confidence.
TRY IT: Draw an object from front, side, and back; circle details that identify it.
The Job Board
Job title: Museum curator for a day
Who hired us: Dr. Sora Bell, Museum of Lost & Found Wonders curator.
Rules of the job: Soft gloves; no food near artefacts; scan before moving delicate objects; never invent history.
What went wrong: AI grouped blue objects and mislabelled a sock as a teapot cosy.
How we fixed it: We checked donation cards, scanned weave and stitches, and gave it better pattern-and-date clues.
What we got paid: $28 in Crew Coins; Crew Bank total: $243.

Welcome to the Museum of Lost & Found Wonders, where umbrellas have stories and socks get a gallery! Tray, Jay, and Rae must find an astronaut-and-moon pair before opening. A 3D scanner makes dazzling models, but the museum AI matches socks by colour. Can real clues save the exhibit—and keep Bolt out of the sock drawer?
